Chris and Nicole Kunz, the brother/ sister team of Nicholas K have been churning out super soft, well designed, and travel-ready separates for both men and women for about six years now (we’ve carried the men’s line for two). 
Using quality textiles, Nicole designs the collections and looks to her brother Chris; who’s in charge of the business side of the company, as inspiration ( he’s even been known to model in some their lookbooks, including this season’s!). 
What I find fascinating about the line is like other NY-based brands (EUBIQny, Engineered Garments,etc) the focus is on construction and detail without it looking like it is…
 
Pockets slant in such a way that enhances the wearer’s physique; jackets are cut at a length that is neither too long nor too short; pants have just enough slouch to give them that extra swagger.

This season, Nicole has outdone herself with some of the pieces such as the ‘Rolo‘ shirt  (top; featured earlier in another blog entry) with its fold over shawl collar; and, the newly received ‘Forster Trench‘ (below pic) with shoulder pleats and military-style zippers. I also appreciate the versatility of the pieces; some jackets are convertible with zip off sleeves so you can dress down with jeans for a casual “outdoorsy” look; or, add a stylish touch to a nice pair of trousers.

We received new shirts including an electric blue camp shirt that is sure to incite envy among your friends! Reaquaint yourself with Nicholas K and add a little spice to your wardrobe!
