MORE FROM NICHOLAS K…ROGUES GALLERY…

I just want to share photos of new pieces that we received from Portland, Maine-based Rogues Gallery and Nicholas K from NYC.

Rogues Gallery used the northwest as its theme for this season so expect to see colorful flannels,  puffy vests, navajo-print thermals, and gothic, shaman-esque prints for their tees:

Dylan Flannel shirt in Red Plaid; $115 now $81 (on model: small) Super soft and slim fitting, you will go to this shirt time and time again…

Mountain Vest in Black; $285  now $200 (on model: small) RG jackets and vests are highly sought after ( most of them are already sold out at their store in Maine and on their online store) and I can understand why. This vest is cut a little slimmer and slightly higher so it can definitely be layered under a blazer or overcoat ….

NW Thermal in Grey; $119  now $83 (on model: small) Unique take on the long sleeve thermal. Double layered and extra soft…

Cowskull tee in Black; $98  now$69 (on model: medium) What I love about the Rogues Gallery tees is they have this ‘gift shop’ appeal to them; but, when you actually touch and feel them, you know you’ve come across something really special….

’13′ Tee in Antique White;$55  now $39 (on model: medium)

Most of the Nicholas K photos are not ready to post but the one piece I wanted,no needed to show you is this amazing jacket:

Brock Leather Jacket in Black;$829 now $580 (on model: medium) A really gorgeous jacket/sweater hybrid with knit paneling on the sides and D-ring closure at the neck. It also includes their trademark wiring in the front placket to keep its shape…

Both collections sold at the downtown location and online shop.

Other arrivals: Loden Dager, Spiewak and quilted vests from Engineered Garments. Pictures to follow soon …

DUNDERDON

The resurgence of the work wear aesthetic reminds us that functionality and intention are the backbone of great design.  Given the variables of climate, motion, and durability, the designer’s choices for construction of the garments become obvious if not ingenious.   Born in the Swedish port town of Gothenburg, Dunderdon has created a line that melds these principles with a stylistic edge.  Per-Ivan Hagberg, a carpenter, successfully began making uniform inspired pants for skilled tradesmen and artisans.  The line quickly became a favorite for it’s craftsmanship and versatility and expanded to include shirts, knits, and outerwear.

Currently the Fremont shop stocks men’s Dunderdon and will be receiving women’s in the coming weeks.  Pictures below are of current selections.

Greenwich Jacket, $210

 Axelman Jacket, $185

Lombardi Shirt, $115

Fellow Shirt, $115

Stanton Merino Cardigan, $149 ( available in black or gray)

Many companies come and go these days; so, it’s really rare and inspiring to find one that has such heritage as Spiewak.  Founded in 1904 by Isaac Spiewak, this New York based company has been making outerwear suited for industry and fashion alike for over a hundred years. Four generations later, Michael and Roy Spiewak are still producing great pieces which embody the traditions of innovation and design for which the company is known, at an almost unbeatable value.  These jackets are tightly constructed to make them wind and water resistant and have Thinsulate linings to reduce bulk.  Below are pictures of the current stock.  Spiewak is available at both Ian shops.

Jasper Peacoat, $175 (available in black)

                   Dugan Peacoat, $195

Porter Jacket, $155 (available in light gray)

                             Larkin Jacket, $155

NEW @ IAN: ORTHODOX CLOTHING

The new collection from LA based Orthodox seems to have more of an East Coast vibe  than its place of origin: dark purples, light and charcoal greys , wool bombers and a tech style hoodie make up most of this season’s line. Also the detailing is pretty clever, as well.
Here’s a peek at what we have:

Austen Button Down Shirt in Black and Purple Plaid; $149 (on model: small) Dig the two rows of buttons! Now you have control of your ‘sexy’ factor…

Burroughs Wool Bomber in Charcoal Grey; $315 (on model: small) This the perfect “city dwellers” jacket: slim, lighweight. and warm…

Ellison Hoodie in Black; $210 (on model: small) This shiny wool blend hoodie is a great layering piece; and, warm enough to wear on its own on those chilly early autumn evenings…

St. Augustine Hooded Jacket in Grey; $279 (on model: small) This is a perfect ‘wear now’ piece that will definitely take you well into Fall…

Wolfe Shawl-Collar Sweater in Grey; $210 (on model: small) If you’re one of those people that can get away with wearing just a sweater in the early part of Fall then this one’s for you. Great for pulling over an oxford button-down or thermal. I really like the D-ring closures at the neck and the elbow patches…

Orthodox will be sold at our downtown location…

We still have outerwear, sweaters, and accessories left from Nice Collective,Spiewak, Engineered Garments, Modern Amusement and G-Star and the weather is starting to get colder if you haven’t noticed…so don’t waste time and be stuck without something warm this season!

Sorry for neglecting you last week, guys.  We’ve just been busy receiving new lines and making the store look nice. As promised though, here are pics of the other pieces that arrived from Nice Collective:

Suit in Black; $615 (on model: small) This is a pretty nice suit made from a cotton/linen blend. Check out the seam detailing…

Reverse Vest in Charcoal Grey;$279 (on model: small) A really cool piece for Fall! there’s a removable faux fleece lining for those extra chilly days…

Simple Pant in Hunter Green; $229 (on model: 32) I like these pants because they’re not too baggy yet not too slim. I also like the back seam behind the knee that accentuates the silhouette…

Mod Shirt in Grey; $$219 (on model: small) Sometimes all it takes is a little detail to make a great shirt even better… Also available in black

Cross Tee in Black; $79 (on model: medium)

Warp Tee in Grey; $79 (on model: medium) It reads: ”Fade to screams of violence like a TV screen but silent”….

Cardigan Sweater in Dark Grey; $325 (on model: small) Great slim-fitting cardigan with thumbholes for an added touch…

Tribal Cardigan Sweater in Grey; $389 (on model: small) Another great cardigan with military style epaulets and “loop” stitch detail around pockets and sleeves….

Printed Sweater in Grey; $325 (on model: small) A really cool “reverse side” v-neck sweater with elbow patch detail…..

Key Holder in Silver and Black Leather; $45 each

Key Cover in Black Leather; $45

Card holders in Black and Silver Leather; $75 each

Zip Wallet in Silver Leather; $179

We received a new men’s line yesterday called ORTHODOX; really nice basics with just a little something extra added to them …. I will post pics of the pieces by the end of the week. See you soon!!!
